Plusnet mobile problem in Caribbean

Hello

We are off to the Caribbean again soon, but last time we could not connect to ANY network using our mobiles. Neither of the local networks Digicel and Flow would connect.  Tried all sorts from phone restart, choosing provider etc with no luck, is this a problem with Plusnet ?
