Plusnet Mobile Text Message Issues

Thanks for the update.  It's reassuring that you've spotted the problem and are dealing with it.  Smiley

I've found an apparent pattern, in case it helps with diagnosing the issue?

On both mine and my partners mobiles (ex LifeMobile customers, two different accounts, two different SIMs, two different phones and different messaging apps) single part texts (<160) seem to go through okay but multipart (>160) are getting blocked.  I don't know for certain if this is a genuine difference though, or if it's just statistical (i.e. a 3-part message has 3x the chance of failing.)

Scratch that; yeah, it's just a statistical pattern, not a true cause and effect.

Hi

This is still an Issue for me.

Unable to send any Texts.
Also Incoming texts are running over 12-24hrs late.
Not good really.

Hope you can get this sorted ASAP.

It would be interesting to know because I noticed that GiffGaff made an announcement on their forum last week that sending and receiving texts today (18/04/17) would be irregular for a few hours.

 

So is this some sort of upgrading or provisioning that all networks are doing. If it is upgrading take note PN that GG informed their customers.Roll_eyes

The giffgaff announcement ONLY relates to SMS communication from Giffgaff e.g payment confirmation and goodbag expiry. It specifically says

(Emails and SMS that you send using your giffgaff phone will be unaffected).

So it doesn't seem to be a common upgrade across networks

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I have this error 38, cant send text  Phone is Moto G5  ~ if I put the sim in my windows phone it works without error
