Look like plusnet will have 5G soon but hopefully will see unlimited data soon. https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2020/11/bt-and-transatel-deal-means-5g-mobile-upgrade-for-uk-m...

Hi
I think that should be: soon Plusnet may soon have the technical capability to offer features like 5G and WiFi calling etc
Whether they will, as the budget provider in the BT stable, is a separate issue!
Regards
Richard

Don't get any hope up too high. Plusnet are cheap budget isp. Don't expecting them to bring 5G for rest of this year!

Thanks. Daughter just got a iPhone 12 and was wondering whether to jump ship. Coverage is pretty patchy at the minute and she doesn’t feel the need to change so she’s holding off. That may change as conditions change. Getting a new phone in the Autumn myself so I’ll be revisiting this topic myself.

I have a iPhone 12 Pro but no one provides 5G here. As soon as someone can provide decent 5G I will be signing up with them.
The problem, of course, is finding out if it’s decent coverage.
I tried Three for 4G and speeds varies between 1Mbps to 126Mbps - unfortunately most of the time it was nearer 1 and would fluctuate wildly. I’ll stick with Plusnet where I get 35-45Mbps consistently indoors until I can get better.
