PlusNet ignoring requests to close account - terrible customer service

At the end of July I opened a new SIM contract with Plusnet which I have repeatedly tried to cancel. I have phoned them many times, sent recorded delivery letters and the account still remains open despite the sim card never been registered and returned within 14 days with their cancellation form. I dare not cancel the direct debit because they have also registered the account with a credit reference agency.  Every time I have managed to speak with customer services, I have had false promises of call backs and nobody has owned the problem. Plusnet seem incapable of written communication, email or otherwise and even a letter to Andy Baker has been ignored. Certainly I wasn't expecting a reply from the man himself but I had hoped that it would have prompted some kind of response.

Well Mr Baker you should be ashamed of the customer service provided by Plusnet.  I have to say its is truly the worst I have ever experienced.

Re: PlusNet ignoring requests to close account - terrible customer service

Hi JA18,

Sorry for the late reply, I have been away from the office.

I'm sorry about the service you have experienced so far, this certainly doesn't sound like our usual high standard that we provide and I can assure you that this will be fed back to the relevant department.

I understand a couple of weeks has passed and I hope this is now resolved for you. If not, I would advise to call us on 500 free from the SIM, 0800 079 1133 or email into us at mobile-help@plus.net and we'll certainly deal with this accordingly.
