PN mobile suitable for GPS trackers?

Hi,

I am considering moving the family's mobile accounts to plusnet.  I'm an existing PN broadband customer.

One is a regular 4G phone. We also have a Doro phone, which I believe may be 2G, plus a couple of GPS tracking devices which I do know are 2G only.

How does Plusnet/EE's 2G coverage compare to O2, generally?  (The trackers currently run on giffgaff who I believe use O2.)

Also, the trackers consume very little data (several MB per month), plus a few texts and no voice minutess.  Is there a PN tariff suitable for this level of usage (like PAYG)?

I could keep the trackers on giffgaff, but would prefer all mobile devices under the same provider/network.

Advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @keeka,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I would suggest giving our sales team a ring on 0800 328 4688 so we can discuss your needs and what packages would work for them.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thank you.

Re: PN mobile suitable for GPS trackers?

@Mads.

I took your advice and called sales.  The best option is the lowest pre-pay monthly tariff, currently £6.  Whilst it may be good value for typical phone use, a PAYG type account is much more appropriate. Unfortunately PN don't do them. I may still move our phones though.

Thanks.
