Re: PAC code abroad

No sorry. For a port to work you have to be in the UK.

Re: PAC code abroad

Thanks.
Can I do something like that:
Stay on my contract until March because it makes no sense to cancel and pay for it and use it but move number to Asda PAYG as long I'm still on UK so when I will be possibly still abroad in March, I will only have PAYG Asda? Can I basically move my number to other operator but retain Plus.net offer?

Re: PAC code abroad

I'm not sure I really understand what you trying to say here, but if you move your number to another operator using a PAC code that will immediately end your PlusNet 30 day contract.  You have to physically be in the UK when you port the number otherwise the port wil fail.

Does this answer your question ?

Re: PAC code abroad

If you are going to be abroad for more than 4 months you need to be aware of this:

"Roam Like at Home is only available if you live or are usually based in the UK and you mainly use your mobile in the UK. If we think that over a period of at least four months, you've been living and mainly using your mobile in a Roam Like at Home destination, we may ask you to explain the reasons for this and you might need to pay a surcharge. For more details, please see our Mobile fair usage policy."

This is common to all mobile phone operators; roaming is only meant for occasional usage abroad.

Re: PAC code abroad

I have 12 months contract with Plusnet.
Sorry
Don't cancel this offer, have it on current SIM, move my number to other operator before I leave UK.

Re: PAC code abroad

I don't want to use any allowance other than have access to phone signal and receive messages. I will be outside Europe.

Re: PAC code abroad

Hi @sirgoldi,

If you move your mobile number to another provider, this will close your account with us and if you're within a 12 month contract, you'll incur a termination fee. I'm afraid that there isn't a way to not pay monthly and avoid a termination fee.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
