A recent phone upgrade to a OnePlus 8 Pro phone mean that I was unable to send SMS messages using my Plusnet mobile account. Despite an unsent message error, messages were actually being received by recipients.
A call to the Plusnet helpdesk did not resolve the issue but downloading and installing a different messaging app (Google Messages) and changing the it to the default SMS app did.
