On new SIM only connection, only SMS works

I have recently received SIM only contract SIM from Plusnet. I have received a mail that contract started, however except SMS nothing works on the SIM. Called call center guys thrice and each time they say they are registering a complaint, but nothing happens after that. Can anyone help what's situation?

Are you saying that you can't even make calls on the phone or can you make calls as well as the  SMS texts but not MMS texts or the internet etc?
