Not Registered on Network

Yesterday I lost my Mobile connection here at OX39 4JA and contacted technical support. They said there was a problem in the area and pointed me to the EE Service checker

Which identified a problem. The support person also suggested I remove and clean my SIM which I did. I then waited to see if the problem had been resolved today, and the checker confirmed:

WE RECENTLY FIXED A PROBLEM IN OX39 4JA

However I still cannot connect to the network, the phone reports NOT REGISTERED ON THE NETWORK.

I have cleaned the SIM again after POWER OFF repeatedly.

I desperately need my mobile to work again. The number is valid as calling it from a landline gets straight through to my voicemail.

Anything you can do to restore my service will be gratefully accepted.

Fix

Problem resolved, this might help others.

My Phone is SAMSUNG A5 so might be different for yours.

Select SETTINGS

In the search box enter RESET

From the list of RESETS available select RESET NETWORK SETTINGS

This option will reset your Mobile Network connection status, WiFi and Bluetooth connections so WIFi and Bluetooth devices will all need to be added back in. If you're happy to do that, then click the big blue RESET SETTINGS button.

This reset does not affect email or other account settings.

The device will clear and reconnect to the network.

Mine now works correctly.
