No support for short SMS numbers is poor.

Recently come to my attention that you cannot send to or reply to short SMS numbers. Constantly says the number is not formatted properly.

If they don't support this then why even let us receive them?

Was trying to buy something on eBay this week and pay through PayPal. I couldn't complete the transaction though because shortly after I received an SMS from PayPal Fraud prevention asking if I'd just tried to purchase some. If so then reply 1 for Yes or 2 for No. Only I couldn't reply because the number was 62226.

What's the deal with this? Is there some sort of way around this, or some setting that needs to be changed?

I'm seriously considering switching mobile provider after finding this out.

I'm really sorry to disappoint but short code SMS messages aren't supported on our network.

Has been raised many times before; as presumably EE can handle, why can't PN look at incorporating?

As SMS increasingly used for security texts, some of which demand a reply, this needs to be addressed.

We are looking at incorporating this further down the line, however, we don't have any timescales on this at present. As soon as we know more on this, we'll share the info via our usual marketing and support channels.
