No signal, service checker says it should be excellent

I've just moved home and cannot use my mobile as there is no signal inside the house and I just about manage to get signal if I go out in the garden. The service coverage checker says I should be getting excellent signal inside and out.My partner is on Giff Gaff and her service is fine...help !

As. no doubt you are aware Giffgaff use the O2 network and Plusnet EE.
I’m not saying that it’s the cause of your problem but be aware that Plusnet do not have access to all of the EE frequency bands and it’s possible that this is key to your location. I suspect that the service checker shows the complete EE frequency spectrum not the limited Plusnet range.
Like your partner I use Giffgaff.
