No ringing sound or engaged tone on outgoing calls

Since switching to Plusnet mobile a couple of months ago I noticed that when making an outgoing call there is no ringing sound or engaged tone. This is very disconcerting as it's impossible to tell if the number I am dialing is ringing, my assumption being that when it goes to call ended without being answered then it was engaged.

Is this a feature of Plusnet mobile? It's one of those things you don't think is important until it's missing then you realise how useful it is.

No it isn't, my phone rings fine when calling. Might becworth looking over this https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Android/No-ringtone-outbound/td-p/956316/page/2 which sounds similar.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
