Hi, i thought i had fixed my lack of data by adding APN however it now appears i have not... 2 calls to customer service have previously suggested resetting network settings, removing SIM, and switching flight mode on and off to reboot, none have worked. I kept my old no from previous Virgin contract, calls and texts work fine but i cannot use my 20gb data, i get a message saying no data and to connect to a wifi network. When i added the APN as suggested in another thread by HelloDuck it seemed to work at first, was able to switch off wifi connection through fone toolbar and then access my email, however when i went step further to check it by switching off wifi at wall i got the old message back! So frustrating. Please can anyone work some magic here, i have a 2 year old sony experia xz if that makes any difference. Cheers in advance

I had a similar problem with Three last week, they told me to go to settings on my phone (A Motorola Moto G5 Plus) and turn mobile data on, this fixed the problem.
It could work on your phone
Do you see?

Ah thanks for reply but my mobile data is definitely on! Customer service today told me 'it should be working', but it isn't... From other threads going back a few years it looks like the keeping of old mobile no seems to trigger a problem? As to how to get round that short of getting a new sim though i cant find out. Hoping there's a quick fix, been a week without data which made things feel a bit retro while ive been away camping (!) i switched from virgin for the data and if have to wait on another sim its a bit rubbish really, especially if this is an old problem that's never been resolved yet...
