New to Plusnet Mobile...but no phone signal

I recently ordered a PlusNet Mobile Sim Card.

I could not get a signal on my old mobile phone so I just bought an iPhone.

However I still can't get a signal where I live.

Is there anything else I can try or is it just poor reception in my area.

My postcode is PL27 7TN.

I checked the coverage before I ordered the Sim and it did say low coverage.

Would you know if there are any plans for a phone mast in this area ?

Plusnet run on the EE network and obviously don't install masts themselves, only EE could answer your question in regards to masts I think. Having a look at: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage you're in a bit of a dead spot for EE,

 

O2 (or a piggyback on O2) seem a better bet for yourself.

If you're looking at O2 then I cannot recommend TescoMobile (O2 network) too highly. I have always found them easy to contact, nothing is too much trouble and their plans are very flexible and much less expensive than O2

The only downside is no wifi dialling or signal booster. I was with them for a couple of years and have kept a PAYG non-expiring account with them just in case we cannot get signal for EE when out and about.

Hi @Jim3

Are you having issues with calls, texts and data? I can see from your postcode, it states 2G should be very good and it's showing as good for 4G. 

I've ran through our network status checker and we've recently fixed an issue within your area. You can view the status via this useful link: https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/networkchecker/checkservice

Your services should be up and running again now- but if you're still experiencing issues, let me know and I'll look into this further for you. 

 

You could also try these quick fixes too!

1. Turn airplane mode on and off again

2. Restart your device

3. Check you have the latest software

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried the fixes you suggested, but phone still says no service and unable to make or receive calls/texts.

I can connect to the internet via my wifi.

I do get a signal when I drive out of St Eval where I live, but no signal when I am at home.
