New smartphone, just move over SIM or do I need to do more?

Hi all,

I currently have my sim in my Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S21+.

Other than just moving over the new sim to the new phone; is there anything I need to do?

Assuming the settings will be setup automatically on the new phone?

Otherwise, do I only need the APN settings as mentioned in the help section?

It should all just set up when you put the sim into the new phone.
Shouldn't need to adjust the APN settings really.

Welcome to the Forum,

You should make sure your contacts are saved to the SIM and if you have problems make sure the APN are correct

I have just transferred to a new phone with no problems   good luck

Thank you. My contacts are backup and synced via my Google account so I don't need to do that

I'm not even sure you can do that these days?
All my contact info is stored in iCloud for example.

On Android you can sync your contacts to your Google account.
