I am getting a lot of scam calls from a number the same as mine except for the last 3 digits which change with every call. Apparently these scams are called neighbour calls as they use a similar number to your own to send a robot message. It seems it might be due to EE being hacked or dishonest employees which are causing a rise in this type of scams and plusnet piggy backs on EE.
I have installed the app "Mr Number" which allows me to block part telephone numbers so I can block these calls by blocking my first 8 digits.
It's about time service providers were more proactive in blocking these types of number spoofing scams.
