Mobile Data Useage Claim by Plusnet is Not Accurate (Possibly) Dec 2018- GLITCH?

Have been with PlusNet for a while with 3 family phones. 2GB Plan.

On day one of plan refresh this month PlusNet claim on 1 phone 1.2GB was used.

To confirm for myself I have looked across App usage and checked settings for updates / wifi assist / cloud etc. All are switched to data off (and updates require Wifi). Generally we use less than 1GB a month. We only view webpages (no video). 1.2GB would not have been possible for us to use in 1 day when we rarely use more than 1GB over a 30 day period.

PlusNet very quick to remove the £10 Capped charged we were being billed but this still doesn't satisfy me that this is accurate. It has also left us with no data until plan refresh in Jan.

Glitch? Anyone else have experience of this?
