Have you had your final bill - which should be annotated as such, and have you paid it?

OK. Two suggestions: ring PN and tell them they have dropped a clanger - might not get you anywhere, but you can try. and cancel your direct debit instruction if it is still live.
This might result in them trying to take you to court via debt collectors, but providing you have documentary evidence of final payment, the court will throw out the claim.
As a point of interest, I am leaving at the end of this month - still in contract - but I have asked for and received my termination charges, and as soon as the final bill with those charges on it is paid, the DD will be cancelled, and ANY attempt by PN to claim more will be taken to court - by me.

- Your Mobile Number
- Your Full Name (And whether or not you're the account holder)
- Your Full Address (Including Postcode)

The idea of cancelling a DD then taking Plusnet to court is fine in principle. The downside is that in addition to your court proceedings you have the hassle of removing the black marks on your Credit Record. Sorting out all the different agencies could be nightmare.
It might be more effective and less hassle to let Plusnet take money to which they are not entitled from your account then complain to Ofcom and seek the recovery of the extra payments plus compensation through the Small Claims court. This will keep your Credit Record clean.

Point taken, @Baldrick1 , but I have been there before with an Electricity Supplier who tried the same trick - a few years back - and even then, found the courts/other official bodies helpful if I needed advice. All sorted in a couple of months - and this was in the days when documentation had to go via snail mail.
Hopefully it won't come to that - they don't always foul-up - but I am just lining the ducks up - IF I have to shoot them. 😀
