Ireland is listed in the roaming help pages as being band 9

Surely as a member of the EU it should be in Band 1. Can anybody clarify please?

The charges listed in Band 1 are the same as they are in Band 9. Ireland is listed in a separate Band as it is classed as a different region along with Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and the Channel Islands.
