I just want to create an account online to sign into

HI,

 

I just want to create an account online to sign into.  I'm not sure why this is so difficult form a UX angle. 

There is no option to register a new online account. I am already a SIM-only mobile customer.

There's a sign in button on the site, then it asks for Username or mobile number and a password.

I don't have a password, and there's no option to create one, nor have I registered an email address (yet).

How do I go about registering my email and new password to create an account?  I tried ringing 500 on my mobile but I've been on hold for ages.  Why can't this be done online and in a simple manner?  Who designed this system?

I’m not in the office now, but an account is automatically created when your mobile service goes live. 

Have you tried setting a password by using the forgot password tool online https://www.plus.net/my-account/mobile/jsf/pages/ForgotPassword.xhtml?

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
