Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

wonder whether others have seen whether they are comparable to PN ?

I currently have the 30 day contract 6GB for £6.86 per month (it started as £6)  I would be delighted if they had an exact match though doubt that.....so maybe a bit more data for perhaps £8 Huh

Oh, bearing in mind PN Mobile is actually provided by EE, what about the 'roam like at home'...............is that the same in that it includes the Channel Islands?

TIA Smiley

To me EE was more expensive than PN and I've moved to 1P mobile which was more comparable and still the EE network.
There are a few other threads around discussing options.

Re: Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

Thanks for the reply....

I have now checked 'my offers' and the closest is

5Gb for £6.....so close'ish to the PN package.

However, my research suggests the "Roam like @ Home" is no longer there.  At the time I took out the PN Mobile offer the @Home roaming was the only one that included the CI in the free roaming, so it looks like the 'total' EE offer is lacking in some areas compared to the current PN one ~ a pity Sad

I think I will phone and see if there is any latitude in customising the offer(s)?

1P mobile looks a good deal but for a back up standby phone the problem is you have to back up

"The minimum top-up requirement is at least £10 every 120 days (4 months)"   so if you don't use the credit you could have a large balance

If you want it as your main phone it does look very good value

If you don't wish to keep/port your existing number there are some very good Gold Numbers for £20 see below a friend has just done that and they are very pleased   . Very hard to choose one

Breaking news it seems that lyca mobile is switching to EE, how can you tell which network your phone is using it just says lyca

Re: Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

For me free roaming is a deal breaker so probably won't be going with EE, although I really like their "always on" data. At the moment won't be changing from PN until I have to, it would be great if we were just moved to an equivalent deal with EE.

Re: Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

We go to the CI occasionally and free roaming there, I saw a beneficial....................EU would be fine by me too.

I think, as mentioned, I will phone and see if they have latitude to customise a package?

I would be loath to pay more then absolutely necessary for my modest needs.......my OH needs to get a new SIM (keeping the number as her PAYG is very expensive.  I missed by about 10 days getting her on a Mates Rates extra SIM when PN ceased taking new customers Sad

Perhaps having two new accounts EE will have something up their sleeve to offer???

PS it is all very well EE offering PN users a 'good deal' but at the very least it should closely match the one in use!

Re: Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

Lyca looks interesting for their new 30 day customers

Discover The Best SIM Only Deals | No Contract | Lyca Mobile |

Their 5GB plan with a fixed 1000 calls & texts would likely be fine....but unless I missed it I have no idea what they mean by 1000 calls.....is that 1000 calls whatever the call duration or is it 1000 minutes???

But the key is there as I read (Free) EU Roaming data & calls included.

Decision by 30th June 2023 if buying into the new customer offer?

Re: Have yet to check the EE offerings but....

By way of an update....

I have yet to find any supplier that, where they state free roaming in a range of EU countries, will also do so in the Channel Islands.

Lyca not only don't include such an area in the Free Roaming............they don't even do voice (i.e. phone service) in the CI's

The PN specific Mobile product, bearing in mind 'carried by EE', appears to have been unique in that reasonable data 6GB, Free roaming EU & Channel Islands and Unlimited Calls & Texts all for, currently £6.86 pm

I don't want much and would accept say £8 pm but why on earth can't I find a closer match to what I have with PN Huh
