Failed credit check for £5 SIM?

Hello,

I was wondering if there was any way to tell why a credit check failed, as I have not had any contract denied before in my life.

I am a homeowner, and I validated today my Experian credit score is 999 (and has been for several months)

Can someone explain why Plusnet's criteria is so much more stringent than every other telecoms company?

Depends which credit reference agency Plusnet use. There are 3 - Experian, Equifax and Call Credit. Most companies use either of the 1st 2. All 3 share info with each other but not exactly/everything. Ideally you would need to check all 3 are in order.
