Enable access to VPN providers' websites

I understand that by default, the Plusnet mobile network blocks access to VPN providers' websites. Can someone here take that block off (via a PM) or should I raise a ticket somehow?

Thanks in advance, Andy

Re: Enable access to VPN providers' websites

I installed Tunnel Bear last year and that’s works fine over the PlusNet network however I was away from home when I installed it but PN blocked the download for Tunnel Bear install file as a message came up saying something along the lines that the download site could be used to circumvent restricted web sites.

However like I said once downloaded and installed it the VPN works fine but it was just as well I had a Three network sim with me so I could download the initial Tunnel Bear file.

Re: Enable access to VPN providers' websites

I'm in discussion with Plusnet staff about why this issue affects my account.  I will update when it's sorted.

Re: Enable access to VPN providers' websites

Plusnet by default comes with adult sites blocked

Is it that your actual account still has that standard restriction on it?

PM to staff here could check that and remove it if that is so

Does make sense to include bypass sites in the standard restriction ...

Please keep us posted.

Re: Enable access to VPN providers' websites

The helpful Plusnet staff member @TheMightyAJ had to turn on, and then turn off, the content block on my account, before I was able to access the VPN provider's website.  All sorted.
