EE sim still showing as Plusnet after move

Migrated and ported number successfully to EE a few weeks back. New EE sim in phone. However my provider is still showing as Plusnet on the phone?
Do i have to wait for the final Plusnet billing cycle to complete before it shows as EE?

Have you tried rebooting your phone by switching it off, leaving it a minute then back on.

The phone is powered off overnight and rebooted daily. I have also tried a network reset - network still identifies as Plusnet.
Is the network ID stored on the SIM card?

I do not have a Plusnet mobil so do not know how this is supposed to work.

My assumption, which could be wrong, is that you have been sent a replacement EE SIM card which you have fitted in your phone in place of the Plusnet one.

Your assumption is correct 🙂
Spoke with EE who are sending me a replacement sim card. They mentioned something about being sent an incorrect profile from Plusnet 🤔
We will see how that goes....

Replacement SIM sent by EE and phone is still showing as connected to Plusnet?
Other, non plusnet, sims installed in the phone show the correct network.
Any ideas how i can check which mobile network I'm actually connected to?

Is it Android or Fruity phone?

In my Android phone's settings the network name may be changed when accessing the s.i.m..

Could it be something relating to that? No experience with Apple phones.

It's an android phone and in SIM settings it shows as EE.

I have just tried the sim in an another android phone and it identifies correctly as EE.
I've no idea where Plusnet is being picked up from. Seems like my signature still rings true 😅

Totally not relevant, but I remember something similar to this with a new Samsung phone. It seemed to only "remember" the initial s.i.m.'s provider. I later changed provider and, whatever I tried, it was impossible to change the name to the newer one. I could change the number but that was all.

My other thought is that the Phone that display s network plusnet did have the Plusnet mobile app installed in the past. Still identifies as Plusnet after app removal and rebooting. 🤔

🆗 I've finally managed to get to the bottom of this.
For some reason the carrier name was still set as Plusnet despite an EE SIM being installed.
By manually editing the carrier name to EE in the status bar settings, then rebooting the phone, fixes the problem. My phone now displays EE correctly.
