I recently got a plusnet sim put it in my iphone 12, which was on EE previously, and the phone side works but the data does not work.
I can't seem to find away to change the settings without a data plan QR code.
Has anyone had this issue? did you solve it?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Check youe APN settings. Copied from here: https://www.plus.net/help/mobile/mobile-phone-and-voicemail-settings/

Go to Settings > Mobile or Cellular > Mobile Data Network or Cellular Data Network > Access Point Names > Menu > New APN.

Without changing any other settings, type in the following info:
For Mobile data:
APN: everywhere
Username: eesecure
Password: secure
For MMS:
APN: eezone
Username: eesecure
Password: secure
MMSC: http://mms/
MMS Proxy: 149.254.201.135:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576 -
Tap the left arrow at the top three times, then press the home button.

Check the notification bar for 4G, 3G, E or GPRS. That'll show your connection is working.

yeah none of the options to view or change the APN are available in the menu

Settings > 'transfer or reset iphone' > reset network settings.

I have looked and that setting is not showing, must have been locked down by EE

Settings > General > 'transfer or reset iphone' > reset network settings.
EE wouldn't be able to remove that.

i found the reset menu and the "reset network settings" option is not there so I guess they have removed it

I don't see how ee have removed it though as apple don't do custom firmware.

I think iOS has options for providers to turn menu items off, or they are provided with them turned off, but according to the EE website phones automatically unlock after 18 months, either 18 months has not past yet or you have to request it.
I have seen posts about a full reset of the phone which I have been avoiding but looks like I am going to have to do it.
so here is my plan for those who come across this post later.
1. back the phone up
2. reset the phone to factory settings
3. restore the backup
I will post if this has or has not worked.

so I havent managed to execute my plan but the other day it just started working which makes me think its down to something EE do which is delayed
