I currently have a 1.5G data, unlimited calls and txt mobile pack with plusnet at £6.30 a month.
I notice that the 'mates rates' get an extra 2G data allowance.
Can I get this 2G added to my current plan to make it 3.5G data per month?

All sorted. Was able to get 4GB data with mates rates. For some reason the online upgrade tool wasn't able to do this.
