Now currently being chased by a debt agency for several months of "missed" payments on my ( ex) mobile account which was £6.50 on a monthly plan.
To cut a long story short: I asked for a PAC number last November which I received. Then had an e-mail to say "sorry you are thinking of leaving us. Please call 500 or an 0800 to see if we can get you to stay"
I tried both and even sat on hold for 40 minutes ( on speakerphone 🙂 on several occasions but no one ever answered.
My solution: Cancelled direct debit as I was not now using their service. I did actually pay another month from my last call.
What now?

Did you use the PAC code?
If not how would they know you left?

Yes I used the code and ported to another provider with no issues.
