Child friendly Android

Hello

I have recently given my 12 year old an old mobile phone and want to make sure that she cant look at any inappropriate material on it.

I have parental control on our house broadband but it doesn't work on the plusnet 4G

The phone is Android 4.4 so is too old for parental control, any ideas what i can do?

I believe content block is turned on by default although try calling the mobile team on 500 from the plusnet sim to double check it is.
