Check my mobile number

Hi,

Does know what the mmi code is to check your current number? #*100# isn't working.

Re: Check my mobile number

I presume your post has a typo....?

Shouldn't it start with *#

Anyway, if your phones on the Android O/S, *#*#4636#*#* -> phone information works on some Wink

Re: Check my mobile number

I've tried both of those methods, but unfortunately neither worked, I've tried a few others I found from a search, but nothing seems to work.

Re: Check my mobile number

The easy method on most phones is

Click into Settings  scroll down to About my phone click that

Status click that

My phone number  is there with all the other information Network/ Signal /Service state etc

Hope this helps

Re: Check my mobile number

Hi xer0w,

As @Anonymous stated, this would be a method of checking your number via your handset.

If your handset is Android, you can check your number by:

  • From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
  • Scroll down and select “About phone” or “About device“. Some versions of Android display the phone number on this screen. If not, proceed to step 3.
  • Select “Status” or “Phone identity“.

If your handset is an iPhone, you can check your number by:

  • Open Settings then choose “Phone”
  • Find the number at the top of the screen.

If you require your mobile number and cannot find it via these methods, send me your postcode via the private message you sent me and I'll be able to give this to you. Alternatively, if you have another handset to hand, you could call it from your mobile to retrieve your number.

Hope this helps!

Re: Check my mobile number

Just as an aside the number stored on my phone's SIM is not the number people dial to call my phone.

I can imagine it causing issues if/when I transfer from EE to Plusnet mobile.

Re: Check my mobile number

Hi,

Unfortunately my phone has an editable field for mobile number under SIM settings (android), and I cant set this back to (read from SIM)

I was hoping to use a network query using a USSD code, but it seems that is not possible.

I suspect this is something that needs to be registered with EE by Plusnet mvno as a requirement.

Re: Check my mobile number

I'm not sure if this is of any help but I use the Mr Number app from the Play Store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.luck.mynumber&hl=en

When I was on GiffGaff it didn't work correctly as it wouldn't read the number directly without inputting it in to the field however with Plusnet it automatically picks it up. Excellent little app for when someone wants your mobile number as it uses the entire screen to display it. No more scrabbling for reading glasses.
