Changing to EE - Plusnet serviced switched off

Due to Plusnet closing down, I went through the online system to switch over to EE. Entered my PAC code on the online form, and submitted this all yesterday morning. This morning my phone, obviously still on my Plusnet sim, had gone to no service so must've had my services switched off. I contacted Plusnet and they assured me they have not cut me off yet, and they also haven't ported over my number to the EE sim. They told me to switch my phone off, take my sim out wait for 5 minutes, then put it back on and it should be fine. Of course it isn't and I still have no service, and have yet to receive my sim from EE.

People I know have done the exact same online system as I did to swap to EE and haven't had any problems, their new EE sim arrived after a few days, and their number ported over the next day and they weren't left without any service, all ran smoothly.

Have read this happening to other people, and don't understand why it's happening to some of us but not others. I have also got someone to ring my phone number off of their phone, and it goes through to an EE voicemail so it must've ported through to the new sim thats currently in the post?! Any help would be appreciated as it's now Friday and I assume nothing will arrive until next week now... I cannot be left with no working sim for goodness knows how long. Very unhappy with the whole saga

@sophshortbread

It could just be a co-incidental EE network problem.

Have you tried their service checker:

As someone with a family of switchovers still to do - what was the conclusion in the end? Thanks.
