I have been with Plusnet mobile for around a year now and am on a 30 day Mates Rates package of 1GB date, 250 texts and 250 minutes call costing £5.25
Is it possible to change to another 30 day Mates Rates package?
I tried to change to a 30 day 3Gb data package costing £7 this morning and was told that it was for new customers only
The only ones available sounded like "normal^ standard ones
There is no mention on the web site about some packages being new customers only
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi @Lesharland
It would be best to speak with our Mobile cancellations team directly to discuss any offers.
Please dial 500 from your Plusnet mobile or 0800 079 1133 on any phone.
Kind Regards

I see the the page and offer you mean
When I tried to buy an offer, on that page, I was told, by Plusnet sales, that they were for new customers only

Hi @Lesharland
Thanks for adding to this thread.
As my colleague has previously advised, our Mobile Cancellations team will be in a better position to advise what's available and they can be contacted on 0800 079 1133.
Best wishes
Dave

Always do ensure you have real examples that you are considering moving to when after a good deal.
Give them a real target to aim at rather than a woolly 'what can you give me'
eg currently VM (still on EE with 4g) offer (on 12 month contract for new customers via uswitch)
12GB, 5000, unlimited txt for £12
25GB, 5000, unlimited txt for £15
both with data rollover
Only 3 and voda seem to beat the current plusnet £10 12 month contract deal outside of 'already use other supplier services' deals
PN target the £10 a month market very well and are hard to beat (£/GB) at that specific price point at the moment.

Thanks RobC
I knew exactly which deal I wanted
It offered 3Gbt data instead of 1Gbt for £1.75 a month more than I was paying on my present deal
Both are 30 day ones
I wanted to upgrade because I had just gone over 1Gbt in a month and the 3Gbt would have been ideal
I have since found that I used too much data due to an unreliable WiFi down my local water hole
Keeping an eye on the symbols on my phone means I do not need to upgrade adfter all

When I tried to buy an offer, on that page, I was told, by Plusnet sales, that they were for new customers only
That doesn't sound right!, if you go to the bottom of the page and open the 'Here's the legal bit' dropdown then against all the plans it says either something like
Available to new and existing customers signing up at www.plus.net/mobile/deals/7/2gb/unl/unl/July19 between 26th July 2019 and 22nd August 2019.
or like
Available to new and existing customers signing up at www.plus.net/mobile/deals/sim-only-12-month/7/2-5GB/unl/unl/July19 or by calling Plusnet between the the 26th July and the 22nd August 2019.
Maybe one of the PN social team could confirm which is correct , sales or the above ?

Plusnet reliability/connection seems to depend on where you are more than most
- if its good where you mostly are
and you don't get one of the 'PN messed your profile up so some things just don't work' issues and the attendant 'get a degree in telecomms to enable you to jump through PN hoops pointlessly until you give up'
- then sorted.

I have just hit the wrong button on this post
I would not describe the problem as fixed
I did not get and upgrade and PN did not get any more money out of me
