I had a Plusnet Mobile SIM only on a 30-day rolling contract which I paid by Direct Debit. I was not using it so I cancelled over the phone and also cancelled the Direct Debit myself. I am now receiving letters from Arvato, a debt collection agency!
Some info from PlusNet welcome email: "You can see all the terms & conditions in the small print here (there’s no nasty surprises, promise). "
From that small print mobile T&Cs: "If you’re on one of our 30-day deals, you’re free to leave with 30 days’ notice. No strings attached."
Well there certainly ARE strings attached! Please cancel this debt collection.

Hey @Pootle001,
I'm very sorry to hear that there's been some confusion surrounding your Mobile account. Just to clarify, did you cancel the Direct Debit order on the same day/within a few days that you'd requested to cancel the account?

Thanks for confirming that @Pootle001. This is likely the reason why this has occurred. Even if the services are immediately ceased on the same day as the cancellation request went through, the final invoice would still need to be generated on the following billing date. This includes any charges used for the month's service so far, or any credits owed towards yourself.
If you would like to send me a Private Message with your Mobile Number and Full Name, I'd be happy to verify if this is what's occurred, or if something else is at play here.
(You may need to post a couple more times in this thread in order to be able to send Private Messages)
