Can't reply to British Gas Number?

Hi,

Does anyone know why I can't reply to British Gas texts? I needed to update my meter reads but when I try text the number back as requested by BG the message fails to send. 

The number is 60023

Currently Plusnet don't support short code texts except for switching provider.

Ah fair enough, is there any plans to support this in future?
