Can't make or receive calls

Just moved to Plusnet (from EE) but can not make or receive calls. Incoming go direct to voicemail. I can however make and receive calls using WhatsApp so the data part of the sim card works OK but not the calls. A new sim card is in the post but might be a few days with the strikes and bank holiday.

Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution that does not require a new sim card?

Update to post - On Sunday the problem appeared to be resolved and I could make and receive calls. Then today, incoming calls go direct to voicemail and no dial tone for making calls - shows `calling' but no dial tone and call just ends.

Previously has a sim card from BT and EE with this phone and both worked with no problems. Is Plusnet worth keeping?

If you put your postcode into EE's status checker Here does that show any issues?

Problem resolved - turned out Plusnet had closed my a/c.
