Can I get refund if I cancelled DD?

I left PN a while ago and thought I had already got my final bills so cancelled my direct debit but I just had an email with another bill which is in credit. Can I get that paid into my account if I cancelled the DD?

@pkw It will be paid by cheque if there is no DD mandate in place, but you will be waiting a while for it - I've seen upwards of 6 weeks bandied around.

@jab1 thanks, shame they can't just do bank transfer, posting a cheque probably costs the amount of refund😅

@pkw PNs accounts system is not set up for manual payments (cheques) and they appear not to have heard of bank transfer.
