Calls while in Turkey

Hi All,

Im going on holiday to Turkey and have my spending cap set on £0. 

I would like to konw what will happend if someone rings me from the Uk, will i recieve the call or will the call not connect at all.

If the call goes to my voicemail, will i get charged, even though my spending cap is on zero. Do i need to get my voicemail switched off before i travel abroad or not?

Switch your voice mail off, you are charged for receiving calls in Turkey so beware. I have always used wifi only and made calls on whatsapp through wifi as that is free.

I will get voicemail switched off before i go, just to be on the safe side.

Do you know what happens if spending cap is on zero and you get called from the Uk.

Will the person get through to me or will they get a dead tone?

If I'm 100% honest I'm not sure.

The team who we need to speak to who would know aren't in today but they are tomorrow.

I'll get an answer off them and then post back here.

i just want to make sure of this, just in case someone needs to contact me. If they cant get through then i can always raise the spending cap to allow incoming calls.

To be on the safe side I would increase the spending cap, just in case you need to text as they cost as well.

If you're wanting to ensure you do still receive calls while in Turkey I would recommend increasing your smart cap to ensure the calls do come through.
