Calls to Jersey, Channel Islands from UK

Hi Forum

My home phone calls to Jersey were free on Plusnet Anytime but I can't find any info on mobile calls from UK to Jersey.

I have Plusnet Mobile Sim Only - Calls and texts free - does anyone know if this includes Jersey, Channel Islands or is it regarded as an international number?

If International - what band does it come under?

Thanks in anticipation of any reply.

Re: Calls to Jersey, Channel Islands from UK

Li Liz,

See here Roaming and international calls | Help | Plusnet look under the "I'm in the UK" section.

Jersey and The Channel islands are in Band 9, so the charge is 18.9ppm.

If you are visiting those locations you can use your mobile as though you were in the UK - see "Roam like at home".

Thanks for reply Townman - very useful ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I certainly wont be calling Jersey on my mobile...Jersey is always a weird one as it has a UK area number 01534 and is free, under the Anytime 1hour rules, on home phones so I thought it would have been the same on mobile.

Re: Calls to Jersey, Channel Islands from UK

Channel islands have always been a bit of a con by all the mobile networks as the dialling code for Jersey and the others is +44 so exactly how are we suppose to know that its not a UK number.
