Billing question

Hi,

I bought a sim only contract on 12/9/22 and paid via direct card £8 on the app it states this is for usage 13/9/22-12/9/22.
I moved to another network and activated a PAC code on the 24/10/22.
I’ve been charged a further £8 on the 28/10/22 via direct debit for usage period 13/9/22-12/10/22. Why have I been charged 2 months when I’ve only used 1? Also it says on the app my next bill is coming in 15 days, I’m assuming that’s just a generic message and not actually happening seeing as I’ve moved? Thanks
