At my wits end with Plusnet and ring duration

A while back I contacted Plusnet re my phone only ringing a few times before stopping, their help was useless and the code they told me to use did not work.

This I found a post on here which suggested to use the voicemail number instead of my number and that seemed to work so I set it to 30 seconds which worked for a few weeks.

Now I am missing calls again because the phone only rings for 15 seconds!!!  This has been checked with a few of my friends.  What's interesting though, if I call from my landline the phone does ring for 30 seconds.  So it seems that if the incoming call is from another mobile it only rings 15 seconds

I have typed in the code ( *#61#) to check the setting and its says:

Call forwarding when no reply - Voice: +447870020555 after 30 seconds

So why is my phone, Galaxy S20, only ringing for 15 seconds when its another mobile rings me?

Re: At my wits end with Plusnet and ring duration

There seem to be lots of people having issues with Samsung phones.  A quick Google search for "Galaxy S20, only ringing for 15 seconds" delivered lots of results for changing the setting ON THE PHONE along the lines of...

  • Open the Phone app on your Samsung Galaxy. Find and tap the green-and-white phone icon on your Apps menu to open your keypad.
  • Type **61*321**00# on your keypad.
  • Replace 00 in the code with the number of seconds you want your phone to ring.
  • Tap the Make Call button

Hope that helps?

All I can suggest is that you do the same Google search and look at the wide variety of suggested solutions.

I'm on EE with a Galaxy A20e and to increase the ring time to 30 secs this worked:

**61*07953222222*11*30#

Maybe it will work on Plusnet as they use the EE network.

Just found this.
With Samsung make sure WiFi and 4G is turned off
Code has to go 2G or 3G
