5G mobile on PlusNet

BT 5G mobile is available where I live. I have only just found out the Plusnet is now styled a Budget service ( did I sign up for this years ago?)
I would like to know the prospect of PlusNet connecting to 5G and will it need an updated SIM card?

Is your phone 5G compatible - a great number of older ones aren't?

If there are any such plans they are unlikely to be announced in the answer to a post here.

They are a budget provider as is reflected in the cost compared with BT or EE, the other BT group operators.

Walter PlusNet have always been a budget mobile provider, and was when you signed up.  They don't provide access to the 800Mhz 4G frequencies EE do, nor WiFi calling that EE do or even support for short texts.

I think it most unlikely you will get 5G any time soon.
