Re: Request to join the IPv6 Trial

I'm interested, too.

Currently on static IPv4.

Re: Request to join the IPv6 Trial

We're currently running 2 IPv6 trials, one for customers with static IPv4 addresses and one for dynamic IPv4 addresses as customers on each are on a different network. The dynamic trial is currently restricted by geography to parts of Chesterfield, Sheffield and Kingston upon Thames and also just staff members at present, the odds are quite low that anyone on the forum is in the trial area as we're only covering something like 0.2% of all customers.

The static IP trial doesn't have any geographic restrictions, you just need a static IP, I'll probably open up requests again sometime next month. @kashmiri @GrottoTree I'll put you down for when I open requests again.

At the moment I'm expecting that the dynamic IP trial will be ready to go live first, I don't want to commit to a date yet but things are going very well.

Re: Request to join the IPv6 Trial

Hi @dave , thanks for the update.

Funnily, I'm in one of the dynamic areas (not a staff member, though), but also having a public static IP that I'd prefer not to lose.

Out curiosity, does the technology matter? I mean, FTTC vs FTTH?

Any chance I could be added to the list too @dave? 😁

Re: Request to join the IPv6 Trial

Access technology doesn't matter, you can have 0.5Mbps ADSL, 38Mbps FTTC or 900Mbps FTTP, all work fine so long as you have a router that supports IPv6 (Plusnet Hub 2 for example) and devices that support IPv6 (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux etc. have supported IPv6 for ages).

@404found yeah no problem, I'll add you to the reserve list too.
