where's my dial tone please!

My telephone has been dead - no dial tone - since early Friday morning 14th June 2013. I've done the usual checks, trying a different phone in the master-socket, but it's still dead. A friend has tried calling my number and although they get a ringing signal, my phone remains silent. My broadband, which is on the same line, has no problems at all and is running at full speed.
I have a normal direct phone and a wireless phone - neither work even when the ADSL splitter is taken out of the circuit by connecting directly into the master socket.
As the broadband is fine I can only assume that the line itself is ok.
Please could you reinstate the dial tone as soon as possible. it is disappointing to see on this forum just how many other customers appear to be experiencing the same problems, although quite impressive that plus net is also able to quickly resolve this common issue.

Often a broken wire between the phone line can cause this issue and the broadband will still be working.
You appear to have done all the normal troubleshooting tests so I'd give the Plusnet telephone faults team a quick ring in the morning or raise a ticket in your account to report the fault online.

@margh7 Sorry to hear about the issue, as picbits hinted we'd need you to either contact us for a chat (obviously the assumption is from a different line or a mobile) or you can also report faults such as that via http://faults.plus.net
