still wrong phone number on portal details!

I have asked about this on tickets previously and been assured that my phone number has been amended.................. but on the portal for "Phone Calls" and for "Account details - Home Phone" my original phone number still is shown - not the number I now have.  That number would indicate that I live in Manchester area and I do not do so now!
Is there some strange reason why this is so and why after previous requests through the support system it has not been changed?
