Hopefully this is a quick and easy question.
My parents have just transferred from BT to Plusnet and have gone for telephone and unlimited broadband option, and have paid for the line rental for a year in advance.
We placed the order online, and everything went through ok.
At the time they decided to take advantage of the free 1571 service.
Last week they went out and bought a digital cordless phone with answering machine.
They want to be able to see a light flashing when a message has been left.
So, my question is, can the free 1571 service be cancelled without any fees/contract problems, and if so how.
I've tried sending a message to support and the reply was cryptic to say the least.
This was the reply
We are unable to contract the Home Phone Product as this item can be upgraded, downgraded and have features added to it at anytime. If you wish to remove features from your line you can do this by using the link below[

Having come from BT my parents would like confirmation of zero charge and zero changes to contract before actually making the change.
