When we had Full Fibre installed in January we opted to have our BT landline disconnected. We now regret that disconnection. Will PN reinstall so we have a landline again or do we need to contact BT ? Would it be possible to have our old landline number reinstated ? Can't find the info I need on forums etc
Thanks

From the 5th September BT no longer sell the old landline services and you would now have to setup a VoIP solution with another provider.
Your number will also have been released and you won't be able to get that back.
If it helped click the thumb
If it fixed it click 'This fixed my problem'

If you wish to use a wired phone with FTTP you could purchase a Cisco ATA 191. You might find it easier to purchase a preconfigured one from a VOIP ISP. For Dect phones the Gigaset N300 with Gigaset Dect phones works well.

OpenReach will no longer accept orders for landline connections due to the PTSN being phased out by the end of 2025.
You need a VOIP provider (PN don't offer this). You should also know that the phone won't work during a power cut unless you have battery back up in place for the ONT, the router and any powered phone unit you may have.
As stated you won't get your number back - it's gone.
While there are many VOIP providers to choose from A&A seem to offerr good deals and service. Plus they have a good FAQ to help you understand what's required.
