"Link to Mobile". Impossible. Option 2 doesn't exist

As subject... 

...in addition to being able to remotely access my Voicemail by dialling my home phone number, pressing * and entering my PIN

 

...I wanted to "Link to my Mobile" and found instructions here on this Plusnet page, entitled...

"How to get the most out of your Plus-Net Call Features" and updated quite recently on 26 Nov 2024

(today is 29 April 2025)

 

Having selected "Voicemail and Voicemail Extra"

...and then having scrolled down to "Using Voicemail Extra" a service I do pay extra for

I was pleased to find simple instructions (screenshot) on how to do this on this page

...but these require me to press Option 2,

...an option which doesn't exist

...so I phoned Plusnet to ask them to help by phone and to be fair the operator tried her best in teh course of an approximately 20mins conversation; but clearly was unable to resolve my issue, as was her supervisor whom she also spoke to.  I was given a "Question Number" of 247570909 in an email shortly following but still I have no resolution

 

...it's not the end of the world, but it would be nice to have this convenience, especially as I'm paying for it.  

 

...my Best Guess is that a software person has accidentally omitted 'Menu Option 2' thus causing my difficulty

What options are you presented with? From a quick search, I think it may have moved to option 3 then 4.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Thanks Gandalf, there's all sorts of options such as advice on

  • how to access my voicemail remotely
  • how to change the ring period before the answerphone kicks in
  • how to make a custom greeting

none of which are relevant, and no option 4 either I'm afraid.  I've exhausted every option.

It's very clear in Plus-Net's own instructions how to do all this, but sadly the Menu options simply aren't available

Thanks for the info, is there an option 3? Just trying to understand if help and support needs updating.

I've prepared a recording attached of all the options available to me in the

Main Menu

Advanced Sub Menu

None of which are relevant

...but I can't attach it here

I've managed to find a site where I can post a link to the Audio recording of the various menu options for Voicemail Extra ...
