phone not working

My phone says the line is busy.  There is no dial tone, when it ring and I try to answer it I get a funny clicking noise.

@oonarobinson Welcome to the forums. I would report a phone fault. Do you have any broadband problems?

Broadband is fine, tried to call but they close at 8pm so thought I would try on here to see if there is any technical support on here who can check the line, as the online line fault checker just says try again.

Sorry - PN staff support also ends on here at 8.00PM, but Community members are usually around a little later . Try calling as soon after 8.00AM as possible.

I'm sorry to see your phone isn't working. It looks like you've phoned us this morning and we've raised a potential line fault to Openreach for further investigation, we've been given an estimated response time of by 24/05/21 23:59:59 for an engineer to go out and have a closer look. Let us know if there are further issues afterwards.
