phone line makes internet drop connection

Hello everyone I just wanted to ask a question.
Is it normal for the internet to drop out / disconnect when I unplug or plug in a phone.
I use microfilters in every used port, internet works fine normally I just wanted to know if this is normal or something is wrong.

Hello there.
This isn't normal and testing your line isn't finding any issues either.
Can you try plugging your router and home phone into the test socket as explained here?
If the problems still persist, I'd head on over to http://faults.plus.net to report the fault to us. When you come to the question that asks you about whether your phone service is working I'd recommend selecting the "I can hear a dial tone and the line is clear" option as this particular problem you're experiencing is generally investigated as a broadband fault.
Unless there's noise on your line then we'd investigate it as a phone fault.
