Hey nittygritty,
Usually a home phone transfer will take 2-3 working weeks. Full information can be found here: http://www.plus.net/support/phone/home_phone/phone_faq.shtml#transferInfo

Referring to that linky, it is odd that it shows times for migration from LLU and Cable bur conspicuously NOT from an existing BT Line.
Also, What is a "Working Week"? Is it 7 chronological days?

This would be classed as Monday to Friday
In regards to the other statement, It would come under "Taking A Line over"

Re: moving from BT and adding line rental+anytime how long does it take

Matt,
:Rant on.
I really think that PlusMet need to sack their Marketing team and get a competent Communicator, Legal and Pricing team to vet the ambiguous stuff that gets sent out to us and posted on the Website. I'll give you some examples from that simple Webpage:
1) "Within 2-3 weeks". I think you mean "Within 3 weeks" but any customer would be reasonable in expecting it to be within 2 weeks.
2) "Taking over a phone line". I think you mean "Taking over an existing ACTIVE BT phone line" The Customer could reasonably take it to mean ANY Line including Full LLU lines such as Talk Talk and C&W.
3) Similarly "Starting a stopped phone line". ........
:Rant off.
If you compare your comms with BT, you will see how precise BT are with their use of language.
