charges to UK mobiles - Anytime International 300 with Mobile

I recently signed up for he  Anytime International 300 with Mobile package and my understanding was that this also included calls to UK mobiles.

I have only made 21 mobile calls since joining Plusnet - all to the UK and all have been free except for 3 calls made on 4,5 & 8 Aug. These were only short calls and the charge was only 36p for each, but I'd like to know if the charge is correct and if so has there been some change in the package

Re: charges to UK mobiles - Anytime International 300 with Mobile

Can you tell us what the first 5 digits of the mobile numbers were ?

I'm thinking you might have been subject to similar incorrect charges as this thread https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/I-called-my-Husbands-mobile-and-it-cost-me-45/m-p/1...

Re: charges to UK mobiles - Anytime International 300 with Mobile

Thanks for your reply. The link you sent was certainly interesting, although I haven't ploughed through all 9 pages yet!

These are the calls I was charges for:-

08/08/2017 09:22:30 07961****** UK Call to destination type Mobile Telephone - fm3 00:01:00 0.36

05/08/2017 09:01:31 07730****** UK Call to destination type Mobile Telephone - fm1 00:01:00 0.36

04/08/2017 16:12:04 07961****** UK Call to destination type Mobile Telephone - fm3 00:01:00 0.36

Calls to the same number have gone through without any charge:-

20/07/2017 16:20:57 07961****** UK Call to destination type Mobile Telephone - fm3 00:01:00 0

This one is my phone - a Plusnet Mobile

Thanks again

Re: charges to UK mobiles - Anytime International 300 with Mobile

I have now had the time to read the other thread and do not think it's the same problem.

I am new to Plusnet and this is my 1st bill. There are 21 mobile calls and all bar one which is fm5 are either fm1 or fm3. I have no idea what these classifications  mean, but they are certainly not over a wi-fi connection. Prior to 4th Aug no charges were made irrespective of the time of day or weekend. Since the 4th Aug 3 out of 8 calls have been charged at 36p per minute (listed in my previous post).

It seems that either something has changed or is wrong here (surely it shouldn't be 36p per min anyway). It's not a great deal of money and I don't tend to make long calls, but my wife has been known to!

I'd like it clarified please.

@wood_side thanks for taking the time to post. I think you're right, it's not the same problem. I suspect it's just a billing screw-up. Hopefully one of the PN help team will spot this thread and sort it out. Failing that , I would contact the Support centre either by phone or chat.

Re: charges to UK mobiles - Anytime International 300 with Mobile

Thank you @MisterW

I think I may have partially solved it. I have the Anytime International 300 with Mobile - the additional "with Mobile" covers UK mobiles, but so I have discovered today, is only for 100 mins/month, which I exceeded - hence the charge. I hadn't realised the time limitation, but it still doesn't explain the charge of 36p per min when quoted  standard charges to UK Mobiles are 14.65p per min

I already have a ticket outstanding with my Broadband, which after 9 weeks still hasn't transferred over from BT, so I'll add this to my list as well.

Thanks for your time

Fix

Ah! but there's a 21p call setup charge that applies in addition to the per minute charge. Hence the first minute will be about 36p.
